Objectives

Our goal was to actively raise awareness and mobilize our future European electricians to face the crucial challenge of combating climate change, through collaborative transnational activities. We encouraged them to question the importance of electrical energy savings and their future role in this global environmental challenge. Through the eTwinning (eTw) platform and during international mobilities, our students collaborated to identify the most effective technologies and solutions to address immediate climate issues. They then helped promote these solutions at various exhibitions. The S2ET project also aimed to awaken our students to European citizenship, emphasizing the values of equality, freedom, and dignity, particularly in the context of the fight against climate change, in line with the European Commission's #GreenDeal. This shared value strengthens our unity in the face of current and future societal challenges. Thus, the S2ET project is fully aligned with the training of eco-responsible European electricians, prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.

Background

The S2ET project fully aligns with the European Union's priority of combating climate change. It has offered our European electrician vocational sections, comprising 31 French and Romanian learners, a unique opportunity to become aware of the necessary changes in their professional practices. The objective was to integrate effective methods for reducing electrical energy waste into their daily work. Thanks to this initiative, these future professionals are transforming into eco-responsible European electricians, capable of designing and implementing energy-efficient installations. This project thus contributes to training a new generation of technicians committed to the energy transition and ready to meet tomorrow's environmental challenges.
