We wanted to teach the Museum staff: digital literacy, technology integration (adults should know how to use digital tools, multimedia, and interactive resources to enhance the learning experience and achieve specific educational objectives), digital communication (effective communication in an online environment is different from face-to-face instruction), adaptability (given the rapid evolution of digital technology, adults should be adaptable and open to learning new tools and techniques), cultural sensitivity, accessibility and inclusivity, and technology integration. Help staff understand how different digital tools can enhance specific learning experiences (e.g., virtual tours, interactive exhibits, online courses). Provide training on integrating multimedia content (images, audio, video) into educational programs and exhibits. Teach staff how to plan, design, and implement technology-based learning experiences within the museum environment. Train staff on how to communicate effectively with audiences online - through social media, email marketing, and interactive platforms. The project's emphasis on enhancing institutional visibility can attract new audiences, particularly those interested in digital learning resources.
The Archaeological Museum in Zagreb (AMZ) is the main archaeological museum institution in Croatia. The museum’s collections, today consisting of more than 450,000 varied artefacts and monuments, that have been gathered over the years from many different sources. As a museum, AMZ is not only involved in archaeological research and fieldwork but also the presentation of cultural heritage, through exhibitions and projects belonging to the domain of public archaeology and cultural heritage management. AMZ has been successfully involved in several EU projects since 2012 and has an extensive experience in the organization of scientific conferences, round tables, workshops and study trips, both on the national and international level. The context of our project will improve the digital skills of staff, increase the visibility of the institution and introduce new digital content and educational programmes for adults and seniors. Participants will learn how to teach adult and senior visitors how to use digital content, expanding our audience to different categories of adults. Focusing on improving the digital skills of our staff is crucial for creating engaging online content and delivering effective digital learning experiences.
