Objectives

We wanted to improve the knowledge of English language as a language of international partnerships and projects for each of the participants of the mobility scheme for at least one level (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and to expose our staff too full immersion into a different European culture (Ireland, in this case, where they were hosted by Irish families).

Background

As mentioned in the application, it is of crucial consequence that organisations whose primary mission is continuous professional development of teaching staff engages in implementing a serious continuous professional development strategy of its own. Our staff is also very often in flux and many of them arrive from local educational institutions such as schools and kindergartens. Very often they lack some of the international skills either in language or in international partnerships and project management. This is why we decided to engage in a systematic professional development strategy which includes internationalisation. Successfully acquiring Erasmus + KA1 projects that aim to enable mobility of staff and acquisition of language and international skills is one of the goals of this strategy.
