Objectives

With this project, we wanted to improve the skills of our teaching staff. We believe that it is extremely important that our teachers have the skills to teach our target population and that they provide the target group with a good quality of teaching, and that, on the other hand, they feel confident and relaxed while doing so. In particular, we wanted our volunteer teachers to learn new methods of teaching and working with adults with fewer opportunities, especially refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. Strengthening their skills generally related to working with adults in education, as our teachers are volunteers, not experts in adult education, and to working with the refugee group of people in the digital and technological field. Although our volunteers have technological and digital skills, we wanted them to be empowered to transfer these skills to our beneficiaries.

Background

Our organization supports adults with a migrant and refugee background through education, inclusion and legal support. In the field of education, we hold courses in digital and technological skills with the aim of integration into the labor market. Our volunteers who teach these courses are experts in their field but have no experience in the field of education, so it is very important to strengthen their skills in that field. By strengthening their skills, we raise the quality of our educational programs and the services we provide.
