With this project, we wanted to primarily help students who face different obstacles, to find methods and tools that would help them overcome the difficulties they are in. Teachers were given the opportunity to attend professional training that will help them strengthen their teaching practice with new, modern work methods that are focused on the well-being of children, on their finding strength and meaning in their daily duties, and on raising awareness of the advantages of the local community in which we live in in relation to the debt of the regions of Europe and the European Union as a whole, and for the purpose of creating higher quality curricula for the teaching of their subjects, as well as the school curriculum in general, adopting ways in which we could overcome the problems we have faced in the last three years.
After two years of learning and teaching in pandemic conditions, we saw how mentally exhausted we are, both students and teachers. At the school level, there was an increased number of absences of students and teachers due to illness and more frequent requests for help from the school psychologist. Students are becoming more and more quiet, closed, turned to their digital devices and find it difficult to communicate in the real world. With the project, the school tried to encourage the adoption of methods to improve motivation and concentration, arouse interest in learning in nature and raise awareness of the values of the region and the European community in which we live.
