By implementing this project, we want to enrich the lives of children of all abilities through outdoor activities and environmental educationa activities. In order to achieve this, it is necessary to influence the knowledge, skills and experience of professionals in the fields of forest and outdoor pedagogy and to modernize the environmental education program. By implementing the first Erasmus+ program in our institution and the community in which we operate, we want to strengthen the feeling of belonging to the EU and create conditions for further activity in the European area.
In Viškovo Kindergarten, in addition to regular programs, shorter programs are also implemented: early English language learning, a program for potentially gifted children, a preschool program and a swimming school. The kindergarten implements a winter program and has the silver status of an Eco school. Parenting support programs are also being implemented. There are 7 nursery and 9 kindergarten education groups. About fifty employees (32 educators) in two facilities take care of the children and the work of the kindergarten. The specificity of the kindergarten is the inclusion of children with disabilities in the regular work of groups and care for children's special needs. This year, 14 children with identified disabilities are attending kindergarten, and 6 children have been identified as potentially gifted. Professional employees working in such a dynamic and demanding environment need to build new competencies in two prominent areas: education for a sustainable environment and inclusion of children of all abilities in all kindergarten activities. It is necessary to improve the knowledge of employees and to act on attitudes and values, so that they open up to new knowledge and the exchange of knowledge and skills in the EU.
