The goals of our project were mainly involvement in the Erasmus+ program. Our wish was to, as teachers, start a joint project, but also to promote the school as a stakeholder of the Erasmus+ project. We aimed to strengthen the digital competences of teachers and adopt new knowledge and skills through mobility and thus improve their educational process. Through job shadowing mobilities, we got to know different education systems and ways of working in EU member states. In addition to the system and work methods, we have developed an awareness of belonging to the EU and successfully promoted EU values by giving lectures/workshops to teachers and students in our school. By implementing the project, we want to support all students in the use of new ICT, with the aim of approaching each student in an innovative way, and for our students to strengthen and more easily accept social and mental differences in class. Furthermore, we wish to provide all students with equal conditions for achieving success, regardless of their abilities. Through the implementation, we want to increase the competences of teachers so that they can be as successful as possible in the learning and teaching process.
The Secondary School of Economics and Commerce is a secondary school with 450 students, located in the far east of the Vukovar-Srijem County. Every year, according to statistical data, we enrol more students with fewer opportunities. This is our first approved Erasmus+ project, with which we wanted to get involved in the opportunities offered by Erasmus+. So far, we have participated in one K220 project, but our role was as a partner to the project applicant. We applied for the project as we have received useful information regarding the application from the ambassador at the professional assembly in Osijek. We also wanted our school to be included in the Erasmus community and encourage as many of our teachers as possible in on-the-job training, thereby raising the reputation of our school in the local community. By participating in Erasmus+ projects, we would attract more children to enrol in our school. We wish to work in a school that will have the characteristics of a modern school that strives for the process of internationalization. The goals were adjusted to the needs of our school, to strengthen the digital competences of teachers, because according to the survey, 40% of teachers do not use ready-made digital nor make ones
