Our first goal was to develop the digital skills and competencies of the teachers of our school and to prepare them for teaching supported by digital tools. We need new, more modern methods to motivate the students during lessons. Having online teaching in our lives, we need different education and approaches. We would like to create a language-aware school so our next goal was to improve our foreign language competencies as there were just a few teachers with solid foreign language knowledge. Language courses and school visits helped to achieve this aim. After the project, we are more capable of supporting our non-native students with their integration. Our third goal was to establish a more inclusive attitude both among the teachers and students where inclusion, diversity, and fairness are the main values. We aimed to empower the participants of the project with experience and knowledge to be able to set up integrated student communities.
Our school is committed to international cooperation and to participating in Erasmus+ projects. We have been taking part in applications of the European Union for years, mainly in strategic cooperation. We believe that these projects make our institute more popular and more effective and at the same time, they motivate the teachers in their careers. We could experience the inspirational effects of foreign courses and school visits on individuals and our school during our previous KA1 project. Though our colleagues have been involved in many courses in Hungary and abroad, we would like to broaden our knowledge further as we have been facing new challenges. Our project team has been working effectively together to write and implement Erasmus+ applications. The secret to our success is based on the fact that the team members come from different areas of school life: head of the school, foreign language, ICT, Science, P.E., and Art teachers.
