Our students in year 7 and 8 can meet foreign students, know their school life, build relationships and cooperate on different projects. We can provide students the opportunity to travel abroad, meet and experience new cultures, practise languge knowledge. Students become more open-minded through joint work with other students from different countries. They can learn about new cultures through experiences. Participant teachers can learn about new methods and innovations in teaching. Their motivation increases. Participants use their foreign language knowledge in real life situations. They have more experiences in communication. Their vocabulary gets richer , listening and speaking skills improve. Students know digital devices as learning tools. They learn how to make online surveys, digital worksheets and presentations. Participants of the project build up relationships for a long time.
Barcsi Deák Ferenc Sport and Primary School is the oldest primary school in the town. We provide primary school education in 8 years to students. One of the main characteristics of our school is early language learning and specialization in mathematics. Students can learn English and German languages from the 1st year of primary school. Bilingual education in German language can be chosen from year 5, and students can also specialized in English from year 5. We urge students to take level B1 or even level B2 language exams in year 8. From 2020 September students can choose the public education type sports school class, so we joined the SIOSZ system (National Organization of Sports Schools). Furthermore in our school green skills, sustainability and health awareness are also emphasized. In this project we wanted to give students the opportunity to meet and cooperate with foreign students, to know new cultures, practice foreign language knowledge and get new experiences.
