The main aim of the project was to raise environmental awareness among students and teachers and to promote the integration of sustainable development goals (SDGs) into everyday school life through innovative teaching methods and digital tools. The specific objectives were: To increase students’ and teachers’ knowledge about sustainability, climate change, and responsible environmental practices To develop and apply the 5E teaching model for more effective and student-centered learning To enhance STEM and digital competences through coding, robotics, and online tools To promote creative thinking and problem-solving in real-life ecological contexts To foster active citizenship and social responsibility among students To strengthen intercultural cooperation and improve language skills through international exchanges To support teachers' professional development with new methodologies and collaborative learning opportunities To build a network of eco-conscious schools working together on local and global environmental challenges
The three participated institutions, Pétervésérai Tamási Áron Általános Iskola, Lütfiye Ali Şadi Çelik Ortaokulu and COSVITEC SOCIETA CONSORTILE ARL had the motivation on the topic: green technology, STEM and environmental protection. The main aim was to equip students and teachers with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to respond to global challenges such as climate change, environmental degradation, and the responsible use of natural resources. The schools identified the following key needs: Lack of student awareness about environmental issues and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Need to integrate sustainability and digital tools into everyday teaching practices Need for new, innovative teaching methods like the 5E model to engage students more actively Desire to improve students’ STEM and digital competences through hands-on, real-life activities such as coding and robotics Strengthen intercultural understanding and cooperation through international collaboration Support teachers' professional development with modern, practical tools and international training.
