Objectives

The project pursued the main objective of establishing an inclusive European network of young aspiring farmers aimed at promoting circular agriculture. Through cooperation with institutions, media, associations, and local training centers, the project sought to raise awareness within communities about the benefits of sustainable agricultural practices. Moreover, special attention was given to outlining strategies to ensure the network’s sustainability beyond the project’s conclusion, exploring opportunities and tools to support ongoing collaboration among participants and encourage resource sharing. The project website was designed to function as a platform to facilitate networking and maintain dialogue among network members.

Background

The project was developed to address key needs identified at both the local and European levels. On the one hand, it aimed to promote sustainable agricultural practices aligned with the strategic objectives of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), fostering efficient management of natural resources and supporting young farmers in developing innovative and competitive agricultural enterprises. On the other hand, it addressed the requirements stemming from the Green Deal and the “Circular Economy Action Plan,” raising awareness of the importance of reusing water resources and reducing the environmental impact of agricultural practices. The project also sought to strengthen civic engagement and environmental sustainability among young people by equipping them with transversal and professional skills. Through training activities, transnational mobility, and networking, the project contributed to improving job opportunities while raising awareness of climate and environmental challenges and simultaneously supporting the development of the organizations involved.
