Objectives

DIGIVET4YOUNG wanted to provide ten trainers with the digital skills needed to create new online training paths for young people who wish to enter the world of work or become entrepreneurs. Overall objective: to improve the entrepreneurial and digital skills of VET trainers/managers Sub-objectives: The O1: Improve the skills of VET managers/managers/trainers to deliver online training courses on digitalisation for entrepreneurship O2: Improve the digital skills and entrepreneurial skills of 100 young

Background

The project was launched to meet the critical needs of KLEOS, La Periférica, and their target groups. KLEOS aimed to develop the capacity to create online courses, enhance the digital skills of VET, improve the training offer and broaden its younger user base since it is mainly made up of adults. By doing a needs analysis, young people needed digital skills to enter the world of work and support start-up businesses. La Periférica, on the other hand, tried to learn how to design online courses focused on entrepreneurship, improve internal training, diversify the offer and increase the percentage of young people among its users. The participants at La Periférica also needed digital and entrepreneurial skills to improve their job prospects. The project has, therefore, provided essential tools to address these challenges and achieve the objectives of both organisations. The need for young people was crucial for both countries, given the national data, and it was found through direct comparison with the young people who participated in the project.
