The second-hand channel in the European market is the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes imposed by the European directive n. 851/2018 which enforce “environmental constributions” on producers and importers to incentivize more sustainable management. The secondary market repurposes and diverts products that otherwise would end in landfills. Second-hand is growing every year and the percentage of the population involved in this market continues to increase and a number of key factors play a significant role for second-hand shopping consumer decisions. They include: social, costs, trends, environmental influencers, etc.A recent study by the European Environment Bureau (EEB) suggests that with re-use products, more 300.000 new jobs could be created in Europe. For these reasons, the Erasmus+ eRejuvenate Academy plays an important role for the european youth employability and increasing attractiveness VET in the secondmarket and that is fascinating young people and booming the circular economy in the world. It is indisputable that the existence of a second-hand and circular economy market requested new qualified management to drive the business.
