The objectives of the R.E.T.E. 3 project were manifold and aimed at strengthening the organisational capacity of Giosef Italy and its local offices, responding to the new challenges of the post-pandemic context and the needs of the international scene. The first objective was to improve the management and internationalisation of NGOs, training staff to manage international cooperation processes, from partner search to co-planning and evaluation. This was to create a solid international network and facilitate access to new funding opportunities. The second objective was to increase the digital skills of staff, necessary to meet the challenges of the digital transition and to ensure effective management of training and organisational activities in compliance with regulations, such as the GDPR. Finally, the project aimed to increase green skills for sustainable development by preparing staff to integrate green practices into their activities, promoting a sustainable organisational culture and raising awareness of environmental issues. These objectives were designed to have a lasting impact on the organisation and the quality of its training activities.
The R.E.T.E. 3 - Reinforce Education, Training and Empowerment project is part of the needs emerging from the national network of Giosef Italy, an association that promotes the personal, social and educational growth of young people and youth workers. The main objective is to improve staff competences and the quality of adult education methodologies, through comparison with other European organisations and the adoption of innovative approaches. The project context reflects current challenges such as digital transition, environmental sustainability and internationalisation of NGOs, accentuated by the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change. Giosef Italy has been working in this field for years, offering training programmes to improve resilience, soft skills and project management. With a strategic approach based on specific training and job shadowing, R.E.T.E. 3 aims at strengthening the Giosef Italy network, promoting an innovative and sustainable educational model that meets the needs of an increasingly digital and interconnected world.
