URISC addresses a priority in the field of environment protection but also of education, training and youth growth and involvement in the society. Urban trees can contribute to mitigate the effects of climate change and can promote quality of life, social equality and inclusion in cities. The importance and the benefits of urban trees in the cities are still too vaguely understood by the citizens, students and teachers alike. This proposal will encourage young people to care about their future and to take the state of the environment seriously. Students will increase their knowledge and awareness about the benefits and limits of urban trees through both physical and online activities. Beyond this, they will grow collectively as leaders in leading public and educational events that build decision-making, communication (also in English), and collaboration skills. Engaging students in learning experience with peers (collaborating with students of other countries) is a key step to prepare them to be colleagues and career-ready in the future
