We have very mixed children in our groups- Latvian, Russian, Ukraine and children from Romania. We are trying to do all best things, what can help our students to be more open minded and feel brave to have own opinion. We support the development of the whole child through inquiry, exploration and play-centered learning. Our goal is to meet the academic, social, emotional, physical and cultural needs of every child. The main idea is/was to become multicultural.. And we are in the correct way! We(staff and parents) are exploring different cultures through books, movies, and music. We tried to do all best things, what can help our young learners to be more open minded and feel brave to have own opinion. We are state kindergarten located in Jurmala, we have a lot of different nationalities and languages. Our project was and is support for our teacher and parent, to show them what we are different and similar, to teach our student and staff be more multicultural, to motivate them, to be more open -minded.
