Objectives

Thanks to the training course, participants understand the idea behind flipped classrooms and how to integrate it into their curriculum. We are an open school where everyone studies - both students and teachers. Flipped (upside down) classrooms focus on active learning and student engagement, giving the instructor a better opportunity to deal with mixed levels, student difficulties, and differentiated learning styles during the in-class time. At the end of the project, participants fully understand this new method and can confidently implement a “Flipped Classroom” lesson.

Background

To further develop Ropaži Secondary School, it is essential to create new international experiences to gain new knowledge and skills to improve the school's education quality. Professional development of teaching staff takes place regularly in the educational institution, improving the digital skills of teachers, strengthening the quality of lessons, and learning different teaching methods to make the learning process more efficient. Considering that students with diverse needs study at Ropaži Secondary School, teachers need to improve their professionalism and learn more effective teaching and learning methods so that each student's performance and achievements can improve. That is why we want to gain new international learning experiences, enhance and strengthen teachers' professional competencies, share examples of good practice, and apply the newly acquired knowledge in working with students in the class.
