The objectives of our project were multifaceted, aiming to empower European youth by equipping them with key information, competencies, and skills required in a rapidly evolving society. The specific objectives included: 1)Creating a Non-Formal Educational Environment: The project aimed to establish a space where young people could interact with decision-makers to discuss important topics, particularly focusing on human rights. This environment was designed to be engaging and conducive to learning outside traditional academic settings. 2)Contributing to European Integration and Strengthening Democratic Participation: By involving youth in discussions about human rights, the project sought to contribute to the broader process of European integration. It aimed to strengthen the democratic participation of young people, ensuring their voice and influence in policy-making processes. 3)Using Modern Digital Platforms and Eco-Friendly Practices: A significant portion of the project (75%) was planned to be conducted via digital platforms, reflecting a modern, environmentally conscious approach to project implementation. 4)Development of a Sustainable Intellectual Product: The project planned to create a final product (such as digital board games) that would be both youth-friendly and sustainable. This product was intended to be an innovative nonformal educational technique for raising awareness about common European values and fundamental rights. 5)Empowering Young People to Assume Policymaker Roles: By incorporating characters of policymakers and young people in the board games, the project aimed to allow young participants to step into the roles of policymakers, thereby fostering empathy and understanding of the policy-making process. In addition to these core objectives, the project utilized a variety of nonformal educational methods to achieve its goals. These included presentations, group works, roundtables, creative drama, discussions, simulations, and various interactive games. Each of these activities was designed to enhance participants' understanding of human rights, develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and foster creativity and self-confidence. The project also planned to involve expert visits, online seminars, and guest speakers to provide a comprehensive learning experience. Overall, the project was focused on fostering active citizenship among European youth, enhancing their awareness of human rights issues, and equipping them with the skills and confidence to participate effectively in societal and policy-making processes.
