Objectives

The project was a collaborative effort involving six organizations from 6 different countries. These organizations worked together to implement the project and achieve its objectives. Proutist Universal Malta (Coordinator); Patras Youth Club, Greece; Bioville, Latvia; "uMunthu", Lithuania; Creative Youth, Armenia; and Youth Center of Georgia, Georgia collaborated closely throughout the project to bring their expertise, resources, and networks together. By involving youth from their local target group, they jointly designed and created the project, ensuring that it addressed the needs of youth and contributed effectively to preventing youth radicalization. All of us agreed on the importance of the project, as it addresses rising violent extremism and youth radicalization. By working together with youth and providing the necessary tools and skills, we aimed to prevent radicalization and promote an inclusive society. The project fosters intercultural dialogue, positive values, and social inclusion. The project was implemented with the following objectives in mind: To equip youth from EU and non-EU countries with advanced knowledge and skills to promote critical thinking and increase media literacy among youth. We recognized that young people face various challenges such as poverty, exclusion, inequality, and marginalization, which make them susceptible to radicalization. With our project, we aimed to provide youth, and youth leaders with the necessary skills, and to empower these youth to resist extremist narratives. One of our objectives was to promote innovative methods and tools for deconstructing extremist narratives. We aimed to utilize creative approaches and tools to challenge the narratives propagated by extremist groups. By working with youth, we aimed to strengthen their resilience to radicalization and create more inclusive and open communities. in order to contribute to building resistance to violent extremism at both the individual and community levels. We believe that collaboration among youth, among various organizations and stakeholders is crucial in effectively addressing youth radicalization. Creating a network will contribute to promoting joint initiatives among non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders in preventing youth radicalization. The project aimed to create a platform for youth from different countries to come together and engage in dialogue. During the project by promoting intercultural understanding, the project aimed to counter prejudices, and stereotypes, and promote tolerance and respect for human rights. The project aimed to highlight positive stories, and experiences, and to promote positive narratives as an alternative to extremist ideologies. We aimed to empower youth to become active agents of positive change. For this, during the project one of the main topics was to promote active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, and solidarity.
