Objectives

The main idea of the project “Equality for All” was created due to the ongoing process of fighting against discrimination in the world. Discrimination is well-known in all communities. People are being treated differently because some of them are being treated unfairly. Discrimination occurs every day in the world, numerous people experience it in their daily lives, whether it be at work, school, or in other common situations. Therefore, one of the aims of the project was to help youth to understand different types of discrimination and its effects. The main goal of the "Equality for All" project was to promote equality and non-discrimination among young people. We all agreed that in today's world, discrimination remains a significant issue, impacting people based on race, gender, religion, and other characteristics. It is important to address these challenges, especially among youth, to create a more inclusive and fair society. The topic of equality and non-discrimination is more important than ever. With rising social and political tensions globally, promoting tolerance, understanding, and respect is essential. This project aimed to empower young people to stand against discrimination and build a society where everyone is treated fairly, regardless of their background. Objectives of the Project: Learn how to communicate with others using non-violent communication. Exchange knowledge and examples of good practices in an international group of young people. Improve knowledge about other cultures, religions, and countries. Promote youth intercultural dialogue and universally shared values. Rise solidarity and tolerance through intercultural dialogue. Overcome stereotypes and intolerance. Organize short workshops about discrimination and intolerance for the local youths. Build the international network of youth (Facebook group or page or other social networks). Develop and improve communication skills in English. Raise awareness about Erasmus+ opportunities. Six organizations from 6 different countries worked collaboratively in order to involve young people from their local target groups to address the issue and contribute effectively to prevent youth discrimination. Stichting Eunation (Coordinator); Youth Center of Georgia, Georgia; Patras Youth Club, Greece; Creative Youth, Armenia; Asociatia Act O’clock, Romania and MESHY, Italy created the project and worked together in order to achieve the project's objectives. We aimed to help youth to improve their skills and knowledge, expand their horizons in order to bring the changes in this term. Our partner organizations were deeply interested in this project because they recognized the ongoing struggles with discrimination and the need for change. They saw this project as a vital opportunity to address these issues at both local and international levels. Each partner was committed to promoting equality and inclusion within their communities. Their strong interest in the project stemmed from their dedication to fostering a more inclusive environment for the youth they work with. We brought together 36 young people from different countries and backgrounds to create a diverse group that could learn from each other. This diversity was one of the project's greatest strengths. By interacting with peers from various cultures and experiences, participants were able to break down stereotypes and build a deeper understanding of each other. This helped them develop empathy, tolerance, and the skills needed to promote equality in their own communities. We expected this project to be a powerful experience for all involved. We aimed to provide participants with the tools and knowledge to fight discrimination, not just during the project but throughout their lives. By learning from one another, they could take these lessons back to their home countries and make a lasting impact.
