Objectives

The project "STRIVE - Striving for Gender Equality Through Youth Work" was implemented with several objectives in mind, aiming to address gender perspectives and challenges in Europe through youth work. Here are the main objectives of the project: A) Exchanging experiences, best practices, and knowledge between youth workers and youth organizations on gender mainstreaming and women empowerment. - This objective seeks to foster a collaborative environment where participants can share their experiences and learn from each other's successes and challenges in promoting gender equality. B) Developing participants' knowledge and understanding of various concepts related to gender and emphasizing the importance of gender equality in youth work. - By providing training and educational opportunities, the project aims to enhance the understanding of gender-related issues among youth workers and leaders, highlighting the significance of integrating gender equality into their work. C) Providing space for learning about gender issues by sharing and comparing realities in the European Union and the Neighboring Partner countries. - Through discussions, presentations, and field visits, participants will explore and compare the different gender perspectives and challenges across various European countries, promoting cross-cultural understanding and cooperation. D) Promoting gender sensitivity in youth work and a gender-sensitive approach in participating organizations. - The project aims to cultivate a culture of gender sensitivity within youth work settings, encouraging organizations to adopt inclusive practices and policies that promote gender equality. E) Facilitating networking among participants and promoting the development of joint projects under Erasmus+ promoting gender equality. - By bringing together youth workers and leaders, the project creates opportunities for networking, collaboration, and the development of joint initiatives aimed at advancing gender equality within the Erasmus+ framework. F) Developing quality support systems for youth activities and capacities of youth organizations to develop partnerships. - The project seeks to strengthen the capacity of youth organizations to effectively address gender issues and develop partnerships that promote gender equality, ultimately enhancing the quality and impact of youth activities in this regard. Overall, the project aligns with the general objectives of Erasmus+ and the Europe 2020 Strategy by addressing the need to promote gender equality in education and training, as well as supporting the professional development of those working in the fields of education and youth. Through its activities and outcomes, the project aims to contribute to the broader goals of fostering a more inclusive and gender-equitable society.
