The primary objective of the project was to empower young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, by equipping them with social entrepreneurship skills to enhance their employability and foster inclusive communities. Specifically, we aimed to reduce youth unemployment by providing participants with knowledge and tools to develop entrepreneurial initiatives, thereby encouraging them to start their own ventures or pursue meaningful employment opportunities. Furthermore, the project sought to strengthen the competencies of youth workers by enhancing their abilities to support young people effectively. By promoting social entrepreneurship, we aimed to foster active citizenship, improve participants’ leadership and management skills, and create a multiplier effect that would benefit the local communities in the partner regions. Ultimately, the project aimed to contribute to building resilient, inclusive societies by encouraging innovation, collaboration, and active youth participation.
We applied for the "Social Entrepreneurship for Sustainability" project in response to the growing need to address youth unemployment and social exclusion, particularly among marginalized and disadvantaged groups. Our societies face significant challenges such as increasing intercultural tensions, poverty, and inequality, which often lead to the marginalization of young people. In this context, social entrepreneurship presents a vital solution by fostering both employability and inclusive communities. This project was designed to equip young people with the skills and competencies required for social entrepreneurship, thereby improving their career prospects and fostering a sense of initiative and active citizenship. Specifically, the project aims to empower youth workers and young people in rural and disadvantaged areas with entrepreneurial tools and leadership skills. By addressing these needs, the project directly contributes to the broader objectives of reducing unemployment and promoting social inclusion across Europe.
