Our school aims at boostering the position in the local communicy, which contributes to better interest among the potential students. Thanks to acomplishing this project, our students have better chances to gain better education and increase their chances in the future job market also abroad. The teachers of foreign languages broaden their knowledge connected with teaching methodology and during the courses they make new partnership with teachers from other countries. Our school takes part in European projects - the students participate in apprenticeship abroad and the teachers of vocational subjects are always their caretakers. Participating in such courses gives teachers an opportunity to broaden their knowledge of foreign language which helps them to teache it while preparing students for vocational exams and during their work as caretakers of the students abroad as well. Showing to the students (especially those ones who are from poor families) the possibilities to learn abroad encourages them to social involvement and learning the heritage of the European Union.
Technical School of Gastronomy (by 31.08.2023 it had been The technical school of gastronomy and trade) educates students in the following courses: nutrition and gastronomy service technician, technician of food technology, technician of customer service, technician of confectionery and cook. The school educates the students at the age of 15-20. The students of the third and fourth class have their apprenticeships in the gastronomy workshops both in Poland and abroad. At our school there were several educational projects accomplished for the students which were connected with gastronomy i.e. „Cook, Serve and Speak English” , „Cooking Is the Key to Achieve the Success”- apprenticeship in Italy, „Cooking is the Key to Success” - apprenticeship for students in Spain. There was also the project „From Tradition to Innovative Technology in Confectionery in Europe” In the project „Comprehensive Teacher is the Best Investment in the Future” 14 teachers of foreign languages and vocational subjects took part in the courses. Thanks to these courses (both language and methodical ones) the teachers can combine the elements of foreign language with the gastronomy topics and use more attractive methods including IT elements.
