Objectives

The main goal of the project was to increase the diversity of the offer of rural women's organizations from three EU countries, allowing for increased effectiveness of educational activities for local communities. Through international cooperation, we wanted to expand and make more attractive the activities of women's organizations in small local communities and thus encourage a larger group of residents to participate in activities organized by these entities. We wanted to show cultural diversity in the area of tradition, cuisine or activities for ecology or a healthy lifestyle. We wanted to encourage people to learn something new, unknown. And we fully achieved this goal.

Background

The project was an example of a successful idea. It had a very good partnership prepared for its implementation in terms of content and organization. Local rural organizations gathering mainly mature women working with passion for the local community know perfectly well what the needs of these communities are. They also know their capabilities in the context of conducting educational activities and influencing the local community. The proposals for activities and results developed at the stage of preparing the application were created as a result of conducting an in-depth diagnosis of needs (individual in-depth interviews with representatives of three women's organizations participating in the project) and were adapted to the needs and capabilities of these organizations. They allowed to achieve the assumed goals and in the future will result in increased interest in educational activities in rural areas. The project received funding because it gave the opportunity to exchange good practices between organizations with a similar profile of activity, which conduct their activities for the benefit of difficult target groups (mainly mature people from rural areas).
