AGREQUALITY aimed, on the one hand, to empower women in the agricultural sector; and, on the other, to help mitigate barriers by raising awareness of the current situation of gender inequality and identifying ways to combat it. In other words, we aim to boost the employability of rural women through 3 SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: -Identify good practices in terms of women's inclusion, participation and representation in the agricultural sector; -Training women to become active agents in the agricultural sector; -Raising awareness of the current situation of gender inequality, pointing out ways of including, involving, and representing women in agriculture.
1. Motivation Although it is recognized that women are fundamental to building cohesive, sustainable, and developed societies, there are still many problems with their participation and representation, which brings us back to the relevance of the problem identified, namely because of its scope and the lack of a clearly effective and efficient dominant solution. It is precisely in recognition of this reality and the importance of acting on it that AGREQUALITY was born, with the aim of helping to eradicate the problem of inequality and discrimination suffered by women, particularly in the agricultural sector. And so this is a project that excited us and which we felt had the potential to be very innovative in the European context, with the ambition of producing truly relevant results and impacts. 2. Needs - To recognize good practices that can be implemented for the inclusion, participation and representation of women in the agricultural sector; - Increase social awareness of the specific challenges faced by women in the agricultural sector, offering alternative paths to inclusion; - Empower women and promote their personal, social, and professional development.
