We wanted our students to 1. have a deeper sense of their European identity; 2. have greater Art's knowledge; 3. raise social and environmental responsibility; 4. have a better ability to accept and understand different points of view and opinions; 5. have better communication skills, including ICT; 6. have a raising sense of belonging to a great Community, the European Union.
We applied to this project with the intention of helping our students grow as European citizens, building their European identities through the arts. We designed this project to meet the needs of improving English communication skills as well as technology skills. The arts should be the vehicle for learning, for cooperation, for the development of creative and critical thinking, while recognizing the differences and similarities between the different participating countries, deepening the sense of belonging to a wider community and building their European identity. The arts will also contribute to improving creativity, culture and awareness of environmental and social issues, helping students understand their role as active and responsible citizens.
