Our project was aiming at building inclusive support for youth with disabilities to be able to apply and succeed in the transition from school to higher education. With this project we have addressed the behavioural accessibility of the staff in educational institutions in terms of possible adaptation of requirements, learning plans and strategies as well as to create accessible resoures to facilitate successful formal and non-formal learning process. According to OECD Annual report from 2023, still more than 67% of youth with disabilities are facing serious issues on continuing their education after their school graduation. For that purpose we needed to train specific people from NGOs and at HE institutions, who can support the youth with disabilities from the process of applying to the education, through the entrance examinations and during their studies, assignments and graduation. Therefore, the main aim of the project was to train disability support moderators based on created functional profile. 179 (40 initially planned) people were equipped with proper digital training on disability awareness, disability etiquette, UDL, communication guidelines including basic communication via assistive technologies and sign language.
