The main objective was to develop methodological skills for ADS teachers. The lack of training has created an acute need for innovative methods to stimulate adult students, while promoting tolerance and diversity in the educational process. The goal was to generate positive attitude changes among both teachers and students, consolidating European values. The second objective was the development of digital skills within the ADS program, both for the 12 teachers and for the students. Digitization of education is essential to develop computational thinking and the necessary skills for integration in a technological environment. Our goal is to prepare graduates to face the challenges of a modern workplace and to offer them the necessary skills for integration. The final objective was the development of key and transversal skills for ADS students at risk of exclusion. Participation in non-formal projects will strengthen self-esteem, developing social and personal skills for integration and sustainability. We try to form responsible and adapted citizens, thus contributing to the transformation of the community and the formation of an inclusive environment.
The Rosia Secondary School, the largest rural unit in Sibiu county, serves 5,870 inhabitants from the six villages of Rosia commune. Every day, 1,047 students benefit from the guidance of 81 teaching staff. In a disadvantaged socio-economic environment, with over 65% ethnic Roma, 3 ADS classes and over 1,000 students, Scoala Rosia faces the diversity and complex needs of the students. The ADS classes are at the Rosia, Daia and Nou structures of the Rosia Secondary School, the only one that has legal personality. Educational strategies aim to improve frequency, performance and inclusion, adapting to current technology-based needs. The Waldorf structure and the European training courses support the integration of ADS students, addressing problems such as absenteeism and stereotypes. Rosia School aspires to become an inclusive space, offering personalized support through training programs in the EU and promoting the development of the digital and social skills of teaching staff.
