Background

The project "BE SMART, BE TOLERANT!" (BEST) aimed to develop a training kit for young people and youth workers to better respond to the challenges posed by the phenomenon of the spread of fake news that affects us more and more frequently. Our goal was to provide youth workers with an innovative training tool, BEST, to foster young people's critical thinking and motivate them to combat fake news and become active and impleicated European citizens. The kit, consisting of 3 chapters and 4 animated films, was tested with the help of youth workers and young people from the partner countries in learning and testing workshops to meet their need to understand the phenomenon of fake news propagation. Our aim was to inspire and raise awareness among as many people as possible, particularly young people and those involved in their education. This is why we organized the dissemination of the project results in 4 multiplier events and awareness campaigns that reached over 1000 young people from the partner countries
