Preventing early school leaving and failure in educationInclusion, promoting equality and non-discriminationRoma and/or other minorities

Objectives

By participating in the project, we would like to improve the reputation of the school in the local community, so that our students feel accepted by the peers in the environment where they live. We would like to raise our students’ confidence in their work, their importance in society. By implementing new teaching methods, we will support every student to realize their full potential and recognize their talents, deepen their interests, and strengthen their digital abilities.

Background

Our school has had a rich history of 58 years. Our tradition indicates that the school has always nurtured diversity, multiculturalism, fighting spirit and the importance of children’s smiles. For the last couple of years,we have been encountering the problem of segregation among Roma students. We participated in the drafting of the Rulebook on desegregation,as well as a series of projects for the purpose of providing support for students from marginalized groups. Our problem has still been present. By participating in this project, we saw a huge chance for the survival of our school, restoring the reputation that the school deserves, primarily for the purpose of providing support to our students. We desire our voice to be heard, our works to be seen and our successes to become tangible not only within the local community, but also beyond the borders of our country. We believe that each of our students has something to offer and it is essential that they discover their place in the society.
