The project was aimed at encouraging the main target group to learn more about environment and sustainability as well as renewable energy and at the same time motivating youth to acquire knowledge in a new appealing way for their future professional life. The main objectives achieved of the project were: 1) Creating new learning methodologies using Virtual Reality. The developed learning experience motivate the youth groups and stimulate learning in wide area of topics , through VR scenarios, VR courses and 3D VR Workshops . 2) Increase the capacity and flexibility in the learning process by including minority groups, adding subtitles all EU languages to the online content. 3) Reduce the gap between the direct classroom and online learning. By incorporating virtual reality in the learning process, the learning process is greatly improved. Students and educators can access the digital content at their own pace and easily combine it for efficient knowledge transfer. 4) Addressing global sustainability, having a wide range of participants being able to access laboratories, factories and visiting technical environments without travelling and at the same raising awareness about “Environment, Green Transition and Sustainability”.
Virtual Reality for Digital Learning (VR4Learning) was aimed at increasing knowledge and awareness in the areas of environment, green transition and sustainability among diverse groups of students and youth in various industries, from pupils, students to young professionals at an early career stage. The project introduced a new learning methodology involving Virtual Reality - an interesting and appealing technology within youth groups, where a high level of technology incorporation engages the audience in an immersive learning environment. New generations have the opportunity to access lessons, laboratories and field visits at a distance, regardless of background, financial means or even mobility, saving travel costs and promoting sustainability. Additionally, the content was accessible in all European languages, thus removing language barriers in the learning process. The created online courses and e-learning videos, together with the VR scenarios, including training sessions with 3D glasses promote the digital transition and the implementation of new technologies and practices for raising awareness about the environment, energy transition, and sustainability in an engaging learning environment.
