The goal of the project was to raise the quality of youth work by using alternative methods; - to strengthen the capacity of youth workers in their offline work and, as a consequence, to strengthen young people's competences for participation and implementation of youth work; - strengthen the knowledge and competences of 30 youth workers; - Promote the visibility of the youth work profession and youth work among young people, relevant stakeholders and wider society.
The main motive of Institute Nefiks and project partners to participate in the Key Action 2 project was the desire to strengthen our international outreach and respond to a need we identified among our youth workers and youth workers from other organisations: to develop a mobile application that would contain more support options for the implementation of youth work (evaluation, sound effects, timer, group divider) and would not only be used as a library (example of the Pika STOP application already developed at Nefiks). With this project, we did not want to replace the traditional "in vivo" forms of youth work with virtual youth work, but we wanted to support these forms of youth work with digital tools that would always be available to the youth worker, regardless of the time and place of the youth work. If a youth worker found himself in a remote place without a mobile signal, leading a group of young people, and needed an idea how to divide the group, a countdown timer, an evaluation model or other tool, he should have a simple solution at his disposal - an 'offline' app that combines all this and more, and that fully supports the demanding work of the youth worker.
