Ready, Steady, Go GREEN! was a mobility of young people with a duration of 10 months, starting on 01 September 2022. Its duration was extended to be 16 months because of the devastating earthquakes occurred in the region on 06 February 2023. The project involved young people from 4 countries: Turkey, Romania, Italy, Greece and focused on ecology and sustainability. While talking with the young people from each NGO about implementing an eco project, we found out that many of them love nature but when asked about what they did to protect it, many of them did not know what to answer. The majority of the youth from our organizations had never been involved in a planting trees campaign or a clean up. The needs that we identified were related to: -realizing the importance of taking care of our planet - finding out more about human’s impact on nature - taking environmental initiative together in a group - spread awareness on the importance of protecting nature - learning some methods on how to spread the knowledge and awareness in our networks such as friends, schools, universities, student clubs - wanting to be more active and stand up against pollution - integrate positive eco habits in our lives and share them with others - connect to nature - restore peace and eliminate anxiety by being close to nature Our main goal was: Helping young people to discover ways in which they could become more connected with nature and learn to protect it. Our objectives were: 1. Developing the knowledge of the 28 young people involved regarding ecology, nature and sustainability during the project. 2. Developing the 28 participants skills in developing and promoting a more eco-friendly lifestyle (planting trees, organizing clean up campaigns, reducing their carbon footprint) during the project. 3. Helping the 28 participants to feel more connected with nature and to develop a more proactive attitude in protecting nature. The main goal of our project, "Ready, Steady, Go GREEN!", was to help young people discover ways in which they can become more connected with nature and learn to protect it. The specific objectives of the project were: 1. Developing the knowledge of the 28 young people involved regarding ecology, nature, and sustainability during the 10 months of the project. 2. Developing the 28 participants' skills in developing and promoting a more eco-friendly lifestyle (planting trees, organizing clean-up campaigns, reducing their carbon footprint) during the 10 months of the project. 3. Helping the 28 participants feel more connected with nature and develop a more proactive attitude in protecting nature.
