Through the digital training program developed for newly appointed PPS, it’s aimed to facilitate the orientation of PPSs to the judicial system, support pre-service training, save time and cost and protect the environment. When new legal regulations and practices are applied, it would be revised and re-used much more easily in the digital training format. So, it would be much more functional in terms of ensuring sustainability and standardization. Furthermore, it would make a strong contribution to strengthening institutional capacity in areas such as innovation in vocational training, digital transformation and sharing good practice examples.
Psychologists, pedagogues and social workers (PPS) work at the courthouses with vulnerable groups, juvenile pushed to crime, victims and families. They interview these groups, participate in hearings and prepare reports to court for the best interests of these groups to access justice. Though PPS have competence in their field, judicial system requires multidisciplinary work and forensic psycho-social approach. To prevent irreversible loss of rights, human rights violations or secondary trauma, strengthen the professional competence of these experts from the first moment of their employment is very important. Due to the workload, the high number of newly appointed PPS and the limited physical capacity, it is not possible to attend face-to-face training at the same time. In addition, digitalization in training will reduce the use of resources (travel, electricity, paper etc.), thus contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions. There was a need for digitally prepared comprehensive and standardized training program. It would be beneficial for newly appointed PPS to undergo a standard orientation training at the same time by creating digital training program.
