Objectives

No borders for inclusion training course was implemented at the Mühl-fun-viertel in Klaffer am Hochficht, Austria between the 24.03. – 31.03.2023. The project was designed for youth workers, educators or volunteers of the organizations from Romania, Italy, Spain, North Macedonia, Turkey, Ukraine, Greece and Austria. We selected the organizations after analyzing the learning needs and the level of interest and willing to implement this project together on each organization. The aim of the project was to develop the level of competences of youth workers in non-formal methods for youth education in fields of social inclusion, active citizenship, self-development, and intercultural learning. The project objectives were: 1. To develop the level of knowledge about non-formal learning methods, experiential learning and learning by doing as methods improving the youth education, among the youth workers from Austria, Spain, Romania, Italy, Turkey, Ukraine, Greece and North Macedonia, until the end of the project 2. To develop the skills of the participants in the project by creating and developing personal workshops for social inclusion as well as implementing and evaluating it, until the end of the project 3. To design and implement inclusion strategies and new non-formal learning methods that can be used for social inclusion, until the end of the project 4. To promote active citizenship, social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, European values, solidarity, tolerance, human rights, entrepreneurship among youth, until the end of the project 5. To foster cooperation between partners and participants in the field of youth work and providing them space to share experience, knowledge and learn from each other, until the end of the project. We considered that all original objectives of the project were reached in 100% during the project, by all our activities that we realized. We consider that we achieved more than these objectives, by increasing the collaboration and communication in the group, that started to work as a team from the beginning, crossing all the linguistic, cultural and age barriers. Achieving the goals was the most important aspect that we had pursued. To that end, we consider it important to create and maintain a secure work environment and optimal group dynamics. We chose relevant knowledge activities between participants and teambuilding activities. We used the "secret friend" game, where participants received positive feedback, encouragements, appreciations on the tickets that were gathered in the envelopes made by each. We had ensured that every evening we had interesting activities where participants were motivated to participate: intercultural evenings, board game evening, dance evenings, camp fire, etc. All these had made a significant contribution to achieving the project goals.
