Objectives

- Raising awareness by expanding knowledge on the topic of power generation and saving electricity. - Concrete reduction in electricity consumption in the youth centres and clubs, as well as in the families - Exchange among youth workers on youth work and its methods in the different countries; - Intercultural opening of youth workers and young people

Background

In this project, the youth workers wanted to familiarize themselves with the topic of energy and energy consumption and jointly develop methods on how to sensitize young people to it. Through experimentation, they wanted to make the young people aware of how electricity is generated and how energy can be saved. It was important to the youth workers that the young people learn to use energy sources more sustainably and carefully after the project and thus make a concrete contribution to climate protection. Apart from the ecological aspect, it was also about the economic aspect Many young people from their target group come from disadvantaged backgrounds. It was important to the youth workers to provide the young people with knowledge so that they can see where and how they can save energy.
