Objectives

The project highlighted some important points. Firstly, it focused on jobs that needed basic computer skills and high technical abilities, which were not greatly affected by the COVID-19 crisis because they could easily work remotely. However, many young people had trouble showing the true value of their online skills in the job market. Because of pandemic-related closures and quarantines, young people had to rely on online courses and remote work. This raised concerns about their ability to use online resources effectively, and it showed that they need to improve their digital skills to meet the requirements of their jobs. The main idea of this project was to boost both ICT skills and soft skills of 48 young people by engagingg them in digital activities through the use of digital tools, which could only help them to grow and prosper in a world becoming more digital every day. This project not only raised awareness about the benefits of ICT in everyday life and showed the participants how to use modern technology's advantages for their personal causes, job, and career-related endeavours, but also made young people from different countries work together and team up to use creativity while performing various challenges. Additionally, the project recognized the need for different levels of digital skills, including basic skills like web research and online communication, mid-level skills like digital graphic design and marketing, and soft skills necessary for collaboration. The project was implemented in the consortium of six youth organizations representing Antwerp Youth and Culture Club – Belgium, Demokrasi ve Hukuk Calismalari Dernegi –Turkey, Odysseus Educational boat – Greece, Youth Working Alliance Vranje – Serbia, Academy of Success – Bulgaria, Youth Council Next Generation - North Macedonia with the goal to reach the following objectives: ● To encourage young people to recognize and use the benefits of technology for self-development, improving their self-esteem by learning new things through different digital tools. ● To understand what digital competence and digital competence framework are and why they are important today. ● To encourage young people to embrace change and learn how to adapt when it comes. ● To promote the acquisition of digital skills by all young people, enabling them to fully exploit the potential of the digital world. ● To raise awareness among youngsters about the use of ICTs and social media as tools for job recruitment and promote their responsible use in accessing the European labor market. ● To develop participants' creativity and digital skills by providing them with space to turn their ideas into reality with the help of digital tools. ● To develop blog skills and competences that can be gained with the assistance of available, everyday digital tools. ● To create a social media campaign. ● To gain digital competencies needed for employment, personal development, and social inclusion. ● To empower the participants with skills to use digital tools for campaigns without or with a low budget. ● To give participants an opportunity to become knowledgeable about various cultures and work in mixed cultural groups while enhancing their teamwork and communication skills. ● To strengthen participants' understanding of Erasmus + programme and all its opportunities, through the method of nonformal education To achieve these objectives, we made adaptations to the program's workshops. For instance, we organized a 'Creativity Competition' to stimulate participants' creativity using digital tools. They were divided into teams, each representing a team of entrepreneurs who presented their 'invention' utilizing various digital tools. Additionally, we conducted an extra activity to enhance their understanding of the Erasmus+ program, where group leaders were sharing their stories and experiences.
