Objectives

The main purpose of implementing the project "Can we talk about it?" was to address the issue of violent communication and youth violence. The project aimed to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of youth violence on physical, mental, and social health. By providing training and tools, the project intended to equip youth workers with skills for constructive dialogue, conflict resolution, and building connections among individuals with differing ideas. The goal was to promote empathic and non-violent communication techniques that could be applied in participants' daily lives and youth work practice. Furthermore, the project aimed to contribute to the prevention of youth violence by training youth workers in effective communication strategies. By supporting young people on a local level, the project sought to address risk factors associated with youth violence and promote healthier coping mechanisms. In addition, the project aimed to foster intercultural experiences, promote tolerance, and challenge stereotypes and prejudices. By bringing together representatives from different countries, cultures, backgrounds, and religions, the project aimed to create opportunities for dialogue and understanding. Overall, the project aimed to enhance communication skills, promote non-violent communication, empathy, and understanding among youth workers and young people. By achieving these objectives, the project aimed to create a safer and more inclusive environment while improving the quality of youth work, both locally and internationally.
