We learned a lot about how to build a partnership. We had already taken some Salto training courses in this area, but we needed practical experience. We are glad that the stepping stone of a small partnership project was available. It was necessary. Through this project, we laid a solid foundation for the further development of the partnership and gained a clear understanding of the content of this collaboration. Our main goal was to establish a sustainable partnership, and we have more than achieved that. We are now fully prepared to offer our young people a suitable international learning environment. Our higher goal is to develop a kind of European methodology for youth work and cultural entrepreneurship to offer young people across Europe a stepping stone to get started in the sector themselves. With this project, we have created a necessary stepping stone to continue building on this goal through new projects that build on it.
We have initiated the partnership and want to continue to develop it because it meets several of our needs and aspirations. - The desire to build a network of organisations and their young people with similar goals in Europe in the field of supporting cultural development and cultural entrepreneurship among young people. - The need to increase the available spaces or locations for this development by choosing workplaces that are not (yet) youth-proof. - The desire to structurally embed international operations within the organisations by not only hosting short-term projects but also, in the long term, a large strategic partnership within our organisation. - Last but not least: the needs of our young people themselves to develop their cultural and entrepreneurial skills internationally and to exchange them with young people from other countries (peer learning).
