The project aimed to strengthen the network and capacities of youth organizations working with young people, some of whom are facing Dyspraxia. This aimed to raise awareness, map stakeholders, and lay the foundations for future partnerships regarding issues of inclusion and diversity. Furthermore, the project developed tools for youth workers concerning identification of Dyspraxia, raising competencies, and increasing understanding of the condition. The project's overall aim was to empower youth workers to achieve the inclusion and participation of young people with Dyspraxia, break barriers to equal opportunity in society, and enable them to function to their full potential. The project supported youth workers to exchange their experience who have developed a "toolbox" with the information and indicators for identifying Dyspraxia. This indicator collection presents a valuable tool for youth workers and others working in the youth field. By developing a versatile approach toward Dyspraxia, its identification and solving, the project increases the organization's quality of work and practices. It contributed to breaking down barriers to participation for children with Dyspraxia and will continue to serve as a step towards inclusion.
Dyspraxia is a condition affecting physical coordination. It causes a young person to perform less well than expected in daily activities for their age and appear to be a barge. Dyspraxia has been referred to as a "hidden handicap ", as although someone with dyspraxia may look "normal", they will have underlying problems that may affect their life. There is still a lack of information and research about Dyspraxia at the European level. Therefore, the aim of this project was to strengthen the network and capacity of youth organizations to better support young people facing the condition called dyspraxia, as well as to address the lack of information and knowledge surrounding this condition in youth work. The project aimed to raise awareness, find stakeholders and lay the groundwork for future partnerships on inclusion and diversity. Through this project we tried to enable youth workers to become familiar with different tools for identifying dyspraxia and to improve their competences in supporting young people with this condition. Overall, our focus was to overcome barriers to the participation of people with dyspraxia and to promote equal opportunities in society.
