Objectives

The project Respectrum was focused on inclusive sexuality education for youth workers. We have set the following objectives: ●Acquire a greater understanding of the various forms of bullying and deeper knowledge about impacts, risk factors and long term effects on victims and bullies. ● Create a work methodology based on exchanging best practices on preventing and handling bullying DM found at European level and applicable in educational centers. ● To promote the socio-educational role of the educator. ● To improve the quality of youth centers as a safe and supportive institution. ● To promote emotional education and soft skills as a way to compact bullying. ● Acquire a greater understanding of the various forms of sexuality Initially, our goal was to assist participants in enhancing their understanding of sexual and reproductive education methodology. The training course incorporated a diverse range of non-formal education methods, including forum theater and kinesthetic learning methodology. This provided a platform for sharing knowledge and preparing for future projects in the youth work domain. Additionally, participants gained insights into consent, communication, safe spaces, identity, and specific terminology related to these topics. The project centered on developing tools to establish a safe and inclusive environment crucial for sexual education. Sessions were dedicated to exploring the concept of a safe space, along with discussions on identity, gender, and sexuality, emphasizing the link between feeling secure and expressing oneself. The training course equipped participants with practical skills for youth work, such as planning educational event agendas, creating materials with youth work methodology and working on a event plan on sexuality education for a younger audience. Our aim was to enhance participants' social competences and soft skills, fostering empathy with diverse social groups, gender identities, and sexualities. This included raising emotional awareness, promoting cooperation, cultivating creative thinking, instilling values of tolerance and responsibility, and bolstering confidence and psychological resilience among educators addressing various forms of violence. Through the project's sessions, we aspired to motivate young people and youth workers to engage in activism, champion human rights, contribute to feminist causes, and support victims of violence, including LGBTQ+ rights. We were keen on refining interpersonal communication and communication skills through international cooperation, feedback techniques, and debriefing. Competences like active listening, collaborative work in pairs and teams, and self-awareness of one's body, emotions, and mental and physical state were to be developed. All these aspects aligned with the needs of both the applicant and partner organizations, and our commitment was to achieve the stated goals, develop new skills, exchange experiences, and create valuable materials and connections.
