Level up your Leadership skills was a youth workers mobility, a training course, that took place in Paphos, Cyprus, in May 2023. The coordinator of the project is IEEN Cyprus. The partners who help wrote and implement the project are: JCI Romania, JCI Serbia, Globers Spain and Stowarzyszenie Proaktywne Poland. This training course started as a solution to an often overlooked need of our young people today. In this world, full of distractions, where values often get mixed and confused, young people struggle to find their way in society.. The need for healthy guidance has never been more needed than today. Stability, a clear message and example and a lot of patience is something that young people need but they rarely find. They need leaders, mentors, inspiring examples. Our aim with this project was to deliver the necessary skills to the youth workers that can and are willing to face this challenge. The job of a leader is not easy but can be so rewarding. We are happy that our project was a success and we managed to achieve all our objectives: During the 11 months of the project, the 25 youth workers would enhance their understanding of leadership (roles, styles, specific skills, benefits) and they would recognize the importance of introducing leadership into their work with young people. During the 11 months of the project, the 25 youth workers would improve their leadership skills (needs assessment, communication, management, team building, decision-making) and apply them in their activities with youth using non-formal education methods. By the conclusion of the 11-month project, the 25 youth workers would be able to plan their work with young people better, feel more confident, and be more motivated to make a difference in their community.
