Our organization CEFIG had been active in the international youth work world since 2016. We managed to successfully implement many international activities for youth workers and then we wanted to share our knowledge on project development with others. After multiple discussions with our partners, we all observed that many youth workers from our organizations didn’t have enough knowledge on Erasmus+ opportunities and they didn’t have enough self-confidence to write and manage their own projects. The issue became even bigger when we realized that - if we had in our teams those who didn’t have full knowledge and enough confidence to manage projects - they could not encourage youth who we were working with to create their Youth Exchanges and Youth Participation Activities by themselves. The problem was present among young organizations, but surprisingly, we discovered that experienced organizations that worked in the field of international mobilities struggled with this problem similarly - they simply didn’t have time and resources to transfer skills and knowledge to their new staff and were seeking an opportunity for them to get to know the project development process and grow. In this project, we invited participants to skip the trying-and-failing method many of us took in the past in order to create a good project and instead joined us on a journey of hard and soft skills needed to create and manage a great Erasmus+ project with social impact. We believed that after joining our project participants would gain not only theoretical knowledge on Erasmus+ opportunities and practical skills in project development but also they would gain self-confidence in their work that they could transfer to youth they were working with on a daily basis. The specific objectives of our project were: To transfer deep knowledge on Erasmus+ opportunities with focus on KA1 Youth. To develop participant’s competences necessary for identifying a common issue in local environments and creating educational activities to help solve the issue. To make participants more self-confident in creating their own projects. To share insights on how to make a project inclusive and eco-friendly. To motivate and support participants in creating realistic and high-quality projects within Erasmus+ Programme (also during follow-up phase of the project)
