The project aims to strengthen the employability of young people, especially those facing language and cultural barriers, such as young foreign workers, including Ukrainians. Through innovative tools such as concept maps and their digitised versions in 4 languages, we want to support their integration into intercultural work teams in industry. We focus on supporting the integration of young people under 30 into work teams through the use of concept maps of individual company processes and technologies. We emphasize inclusion and diversity in the work environment to improve the inclusion of marginalized groups and bridge cross-cultural and social divides. The project therefore creates tools that help to overcome language and cultural barriers and increase the effectiveness of collaboration in international work teams. Concept maps contribute to better orientation in industrial processes, improved communication in workplaces and reduction of intercultural differences between employees. We innovate approaches to vocational training for young foreigners and support their participation in active working life. Using modern digital tools and e-learning, we improve the quality of youth work in industrial enterprises.
We submitted the project "Youth Work - Concept Maps in Intercultural Working Teams" in response to the growing need of companies in the Czech and Slovak Republic to integrate young foreigners, especially Ukrainians, into multicultural work teams. Companies are faced not only with language barriers, but also with different cultural practices and specific needs of young employees. The aim of the project was to promote effective communication among young employees by using concept maps to better understand work processes in areas such as production, logistics, quality, HR and information technology in 3 sectors (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and plastics) and thus improve the integration of foreign employees. These employees face language barriers and different cultural practices which complicate their integration into the work environment. Concept maps for the most important industries such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and plastics manufacturing and for their main business processes in several languages (English, German, French and Ukrainian) have been designed as a tool to help these employees better navigate their work processes and facilitate their integration into multicultural corporate tea
