By implementing the project "Be a Change Maker, Not a Climate Changer," we aimed to achieve multiple interconnected objectives centered on environmental awareness, social inclusion, and youth empowerment. The primary goal was to mobilize young people, particularly from rural areas and marginalized communities, to become active agents of change in promoting sustainable environmental development. We sought to foster personal and social skills through non-formal and informal education, encouraging participants to engage with environmental issues and develop leadership in their communities. Our specific objectives included: -Empowering young people to take a proactive role in environmental promotion and protection, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to advocate for sustainable practices in their communities. -Encouraging active participation in identifying and implementing attitudes and behaviors that favor environmental sustainability, fostering a sense of responsibility and commitment to the environment. -Training young people to promote environmentally friendly behaviors in their social circles, while also fostering intercultural dialogue, tolerance, and active citizenship. -Reflecting on climate change and its impacts, with the goal of transforming participants’ attitudes and inspiring action towards climate resilience. -Bringing young people together to break down socio-geographical barriers, promoting intercultural exchange and reducing social isolation, particularly among those with fewer opportunities. -Decentralizing activities to ensure young people take the lead in implementing local actions that benefit their communities, enhancing their inclusion and the impact of the project at the grassroots level. -Developing critical thinking and a spirit of initiative in young participants, encouraging them to think critically about environmental challenges and solutions. -Creating a video by young people for young people, to raise awareness about climate change and promote environmental stewardship, using digital tools to amplify their message. -Fostering digital education skills with a special focus on environmental issues, enabling participants to use technology effectively in promoting sustainability. -Promoting healthy lifestyles through activities that connected young people with nature, emphasizing the importance of a balanced, eco-friendly lifestyle. -Raising awareness and developing personal and social skills to promote active participation in forest preservation and other environmental areas. -Promoting visibility of European youth programs, ensuring that participants were well informed about opportunities for further engagement in Erasmus+ initiatives and other youth programs. -Facilitating the sharing of best practices and fostering international partnerships between organizations, enhancing collaboration on youth and environmental issues. -Encouraging cooperation between participating organizations and stakeholders to create a cohesive society focused on environmental protection. -Motivating participants and their organizations to initiate new projects and initiatives in the field of youth and environmental sustainability within the Erasmus+ framework.
