Overall, the GENEQUITY project south to advance youths' awareness of existing gender inequalities and empower them to analyze and discuss gender roles across different European and migrant cultures. By creating a non-formal learning platform for knowledge-sharing and cultural exchange, the project aimed to promote dialogue on gender equality and raise awareness of the challenges faced by women globally. Thus, the primary goal of implementing this project was to address the identified need for fostering intercultural dialogue among European youths regarding gender equality issues. Four specific objectives of the project were as follows: 1. Conducting a Pre-Project Survey: A pre-project survey was conducted to explore youths' gender traits and factors contributing to gender stereotypes. This helped in understanding the existing perceptions and attitudes towards gender roles among participating youths in the project. 2. Raising Critical Awareness: The project sought to raise critical awareness among young people about gender roles and inequalities in European societies. Through discussions and workshops, participants and facilitators engaged in dialogue to challenge existing stereotypes and promote gender equality. 3. Discussion on Gender Balance Situation: Facilitating discussions on the gender balance situation in European countries was a key focus. By examining the socio-cultural dynamics that contribute to gender disparities, participants expressed their experiences and gained a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by both genders during different sessions. 4. Facilitating Knowledge Acquisition and Sharing: Intercultural discussions on gender roles provide opportunities for participants to acquire new knowledge and share insights from their respective cultural perspectives. This exchange of ideas fostered open-mindedness and tolerance. The cultural days met this objective.
