Objectives

The idea of this project consists of two interconnected and conditional parts: 1) analyzing the political and social crisis we are facing at the European level and the place of solidarity in this context; Empirical knowledge of local initiatives dealing with the practice of solidarity. Also, young people will be able to share their knowledge and insights with the public through panel discussions and podcasts in both parts of the project. At the center of this project is not only an analysis of the crisis but also a reflection on the actions we can take to make Europe the way we want it to be. Young people have an extremely important role in this process since they have always been the bearers of social and political changes. For the changes to have a progressive character, we must work with young people and enable them to acquire knowledge through informal education based on which they will be able to understand the current situation and think about possible actions. With the support of facilitators, young people will be able to get information, but the main part of the project consists of their mutual interaction and exchange of ideas. Young people are important actors in the process of building a democratic and open society, and also in strengthening the European project of integration and solidarity. The idea of European citizenship requires encouraging young people to actively engage in social and political issues and thus become agents of social change at the national and European levels. The main goal of this project is to empower young people through an education program on the aspects of the crisis of solidarity in turbulent times of change and to create ideas that they will be able to implement in their communities. The specific goals of this project are: - increase the knowledge of the participants (18 young people from 3 countries) about the aspects of the political crisis within Europe and the role of solidarity in the implementation of the idea of European citizenship - Empower them to become active actors in political processes at the European and national level through the initiatives of civil associations; - Equip them with ideas and methods that they can apply and implement in their communities in order to raise awareness of contemporary European problems; - Build their relationships so that in the future, i.e. after the project, they can continue cooperation at the international level.
