The “Time to Re-Up Cycle” project aims to increase environmental awareness by encouraging recycling, upcycling, and circular economy practices among young people. The overall objective of the project was to contribute to combating climate change and the development of sustainable societies by enabling young people to acquire green skills, entrepreneurial competencies, and intercultural understanding. The specific objectives of our project were: To raise awareness among young people and local communities about recycling, upcycling, zero-waste practices, and sustainable waste management Inform young participants about the growing recycling sector and new employment opportunities in green fields, and support their entrepreneurial skills. Teach creative and practical skills through workshops on 3–6 different upcycling methods. Produce easy-to-use tools and guides to motivate individuals to take action on waste management. To improve participants' skills in identifying and sorting waste materials. To raise awareness that waste is not “trash” but the future of the country. To create an online portal to showcase and disseminate project materials and reach between 2,000–10,000 people within one year. Strengthen active participation, widespread learning, European citizenship values, and intercultural dialogue among young people. Our project was fully aligned with the priorities of the Erasmus+ Program, supporting environmental sustainability, promoting inclusivity and diversity, and embracing young people's active participation and innovative non-formal education methods.
