Greencademy is our ambitious program that is in its 3rd year and this year we implemented 3rd Youth Exchange to achieve the Goals that we have set for this program that aligns further with the Goals of our NGO. The project is focused on Agriculture transformation from conventional industrial agriculture to sustainable forms of Agriculture that we also call Alternative agriculture methods. The larger goals of the project are green skills, green transition and Sustainable development and Sustainable agriculture is important part of it since Food is something that a human body heavily rely on and we want to raise awareness about the food producing habits and what impact different production methods has on our planet and human health as well. All the project objectives were met, and we could deliver a successful project with a good preparation and learning from past 2 Greencademy Youth exchanges. The youth exchange was aimed at following objectives: To provide information about the impact of Industrial mode of food Production. To make participants aware about the extensive use of Pesticides and fertilizers and other chemicals in Agriculture and how it impacts the human and environment health. To introduce participants to the sustainable forms of agriculture like Organic farming, Permaculture, Natural farming etc. To encourage participants to use food products that are produced sustainably. To guide participants how they can help the farmers who produce food sustainably and to help this movement in general by raising awareness in their community. To give participants practical experience of sustainable community farms and local initiatives in Erfurt.
