The "Öko-Logisch" project was initiated with multifaceted goals aimed at fostering intercultural understanding, promoting environmental awareness and action, empowering youth from disadvantaged backgrounds, building sustainable partnerships, and facilitating continuous evaluation and learning. Through a series of exchange phases, the project sought to create a platform for meaningful cross-cultural dialogue and interaction among young people from diverse backgrounds, including Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Oldenburg, Niort, Istanbul, Ankara, and Diyarbakir. By bringing together participants with varying perspectives and life experiences, the project aimed to cultivate mutual respect, empathy, and appreciation for different cultures and languages. Central to the project was a focus on environmental sustainability and conservation, particularly issues related to water and marine ecosystems. Through workshops, discussions, and hands-on activities, participants explored environmental challenges and developed practical skills for taking action in their communities. By engaging in activities such as creating a fanzine on ecological sustainability or participating in coastal cleanups, participants gained a deeper understanding of environmental issues and their role in addressing them. Another key objective of the project was to provide opportunities for young adults from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds to engage in international mobility and skills development. By offering mobility opportunities and access to resources, the project aimed to empower participants to overcome barriers to personal and professional growth. Through participation in the project, participants gained confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of agency, enhancing their prospects for future education, employment, and civic engagement. The project was grounded in collaborative partnerships with local organizations, educational institutions, and community stakeholders in each participating country. These partnerships facilitated knowledge sharing, capacity building, and the exchange of best practices in youth engagement, intercultural learning, and environmental education. By leveraging the expertise and resources of these partners, the project ensured the successful implementation of exchange phases and the sustainability of outcomes beyond the project's duration. Throughout the project, an emphasis was placed on continuous evaluation, reflection, and learning. Regular feedback sessions with participants and stakeholders provided valuable insights into the effectiveness of project activities and the needs of participants. By incorporating feedback into program design and implementation, the project was able to adapt and respond to the evolving needs and priorities of participants, ensuring maximum impact and relevance. Overall, the "Öko-Logisch" project aimed to create a transformative learning experience for participants, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to become active agents of positive change in their communities and beyond. By fostering intercultural understanding, environmental stewardship, and personal development, the project contributed to building a more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient future for all.
